Janet Shapiro

Janet joined J.N. Solutions in November of 2003 as Executive Director, Search Solutions. Janet manages client relationships and oversees the recruitment process for multiple projects. Janet also contributes to the growth of the company through new client development.

Janet has been an executive search consultant since 1998. Her focus has been exclusive to the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, and Contract Services segments of the Drug Development industry. She has placed individuals in CSO, CEO, GM and Director positions throughout the pharmaceutical industry in various departments. Functionally, the majority of her searches are for Research and Development professionals, and she has also lead searches in Sales, Business Development and Marketing. Janet has led multiple searches for clients where she has helped the Executive Management team hire people for multiple openings.

Prior to working as a consultant, Janet spent eight years working for Rhone-Poulenc Rorer (now Sanofi-Aventis). In her eight years with RPR, Janet held various roles of increasing responsibility. Janet began her career at RPR in Human Resources as a recruiter for the company's Research & Development organizations. After three years, she was asked to lead RPR's internal temporary employment agency. In this role, she staffed and filled over 150 positions within a year. After co-leading the task force that opted to outsource the division to an agency, Janet became a Human Resource generalist for the Global Marketing team. As a generalist she focused in organizational design, employee relations, training and development and lead recruitment efforts. Janet worked closely with the Director and Vice Presidents in multiple therapeutic teams and helped restructure and reorganize efforts in both the United States and in Europe. As part of her generalist role, Janet was also a member of a recruitment task force to see how the company could be more cost efficient and effective in their hiring activities.

Janet holds a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology and Business Administration and a Bachelor's of Arts in French.
